Made from 20 sheets of acid-free card stock within hard covers sealed with polyurethane.
5 illustrated panels, each in 4 nested accordion-folded layers. Original ink drawings, paper handcut with x-acto knife, spray painted with original handcut stencils. Signed and dated.

I have been inspired by Mexican Loteria bingo cards for about 20 years. The front window layer started with drawing some lovely birds and flowers that were painted on the wall of a donut shop in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico in November 2018. A few months later, my seventeen-year marriage fell apart, I was devastated; I needed to create something beautiful from the heartbreak, this piece was cathartic. Los corazones (the hearts) are left (sinister) and right (derecho) handed. El Fin de Amor, the end of love.

This form is called a carousel book because it can be positioned in the round, or display open standing upright, face up on a table. Closes fully to store away in your library. Collaged cover is sealed with polyurethane for maximum durability.
